Food Wastage Attitudes among the United Arab Emirates Population: The Role of Social Media

The objective of this study is to evaluate food wastage attitudes and the impact social media among United Arab Emirates (UAE) population. A questionnaire was distributed via network applications (n = 525). majority respondents were females (84%) users (99%). Most well aware problem (96%). Half (53.7 48.8%) reported taking some form action on an ‘often’ basis reduce wastage, buying as per their needs, respectively. Two-thirds (66.7%) stated that family did not throw away anything from last meal. (82.3%) felt uncomfortable upon discarding food. mixed response observed in terms usage. On one hand, using significantly (p < 0.05) associated with measuring exact quantity ingredients prior preparation, lower overall eating leftovers, composting. other less-frequent had fewer checked expiry dates, more serious about planned minimize it. Social should be used prudence it may have a very significant reduction.
